Capella Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

On August 22, 2021, at approximately 10:30 a.m., a sailing yacht made a distress call to the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) of the German Society for Rescue at Sea (DGzRS) based in Bremen. The alert concerned a capsized dinghy located in Orth Bay, south of Fehmarn Island, with four individuals precariously perched on the hull. Before the DGzRS rescue teams could arrive on site, two small boats, one of which was the dinghy "Aldebaran" belonging to "Capella," successfully reached the stranded individuals. Each boat managed to safely onboard two crew members from the capsized vessel. The heroic efforts of the "Aldebaran" ultimately led to the safe return of all four individuals to the port of Orth on Fehmarn Island.
