On June 3, 2019, at approximately 7 a.m., the tanker 'Maria', with a gross tonnage of 1710 ts (EU-No.: 02330767), collided with a historic barrage along the Dortmund-Ems Canal in Fuestrup. The allusion resulted in the entire wheelhouse detaching and plunging into the water, along with a car stored on the vessel’s aft. Fortunately, only one crew member sustained minor injuries, but the incident caused significant damage, amounting to six figures.
